My spring break starts today! I finally have some time in my busy life to kick back, relax and eat for two weeks. Unfortunately, none of my friends have jobs that afford them two weeks of vacation at the end of March, leaving me in the city for break.
As a result, I’ve planned a little culinary vacation of sorts for the next two weeks.
I started reading The Omnivore’s Dilemma this morning, and have a slew of restaurant outings coming up.
Saturday March 24th—Wine tasting at Chambers Street Wines and Dinner at The Little Owl with friends. Starting off the break with a meal I know will be good.
Sunday March 25th—Brunch at a friend’s house
Monday March 26th—Lunch at Blaue Gans with my former kindergarten teacher
Tuesday March 27th—Tentative Dinner (TBD) with some Swedish friends.
Wednesday March 28th—Dinner At Momofuku Ssam Bar
Thursday March 29th—Lopez De Heredia wine tasting followed by dinner in Brooklyn. (Brooklyn restaurant week.)
Friday March 30th—Dinner at Momofuku again…
Saturday March 31st—Blowout Dinner with my friend from London at Eleven Madison Park
Monday April 2nd—Lunch at L’Impero
In between I’ll probably go to the gym a lot to make sure I don’t blimp up. Lets hope my belly and my wallet can withstand all this free time.
I am then heading to Boston for Easter weekend to relax and hopefully cook a little with my culinarily gifted aunt and uncle.
This link is for my business minded friends out there.
This one is for all those who tell me I should become a chef. (Its easier said than done.)
