After a night of eating short ribs and assorted raw fish I went out and woke up comepletely confused at 7 this morning. I was a little upset about this because I don’t have to go to work for the rest of the summer and thus have no reason to ever be up at 7am. In a haze I decided to check my e-mail only to come across a message from Zagat—Summer Restaurant week is coming up! The dates are July 16th-20th and the 23rd-27th meaning that you can start making reservations for the first week today. Being the crazed food lover I am, I immediately started making reservations. However, unfortunately for me, I started a couple of days late and many of the places I wanted to try were already booked for the first week and I couldn’t get Gotham or Chanterelle or Gramercy Tavern. In the end I settled for Monday lunch at DB Bistro Moderne, Tuesday lunch at Tocqueville, Wednesday dinner at The Modern and Friday Dinner for four at Mai house. Now I only need to find people to go with me.
If you have any interest in making reservations for restaurant week, click here. You can start reserving for the second restaurant week on Saturday.
